Aim and Scope

Paradigma Journal of Social Sciences is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal that addresses theoretical, methodological, and applied research in the field of social sciences from a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective. The primary aim of the journal is to examine human and societal phenomena through a multidimensional lens, to analyze processes of social change on a scientific basis, and to provide critical and innovative contributions to contemporary issues in the social sciences.

Within this framework, the journal promotes interaction among different social science disciplines and focuses on paradigmatic and methodological transformations. It provides a scholarly platform for discussions on contemporary issues such as modernity, globalization, digital transformation, environmental crises, social justice, cultural interaction, identity debates, migration, political economy, and epistemological diversity. Paradigma considers diverse theoretical perspectives—including positivist, interpretivist, critical, post-structuralist, and pragmatist approaches—as an intellectual richness and encourages dialogue among these perspectives.

The journal is published quarterly and accepts original research articles, review papers, book reviews, and critical evaluation articles in Turkish and English. All manuscripts submitted to Paradigma are evaluated within the framework of a double-blind peer review process, based on principles of scientific impartiality, methodological consistency, and ethical reliability.

The journal values not only empirical contributions but also theoretical depth, and it aims to enrich knowledge production in the social sciences by facilitating the interaction between local experiences and global academic debates. By adopting an open-access model, Paradigma seeks to democratize access to scientific knowledge and to support the reproduction of this knowledge through interaction with different segments of society. In this respect, the journal aims to serve as an academic platform that encourages critical thinking, theoretical innovation, and methodological advancement, based on the belief that social sciences carry not only a descriptive but also a transformative mission.
